COURSE DESCRIPTION
This expert-led course is designed for radiologists seeking to sharpen their prostate MRI interpretation skills through hands-on, real-case learning. Over four weeks, participants will work with DICOM viewers — just as in daily clinical practice — and receive expert feedback with integrated pathological correlation. The course includes interactive webinars, concise practical theory session.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Confidently apply the latest standardised scoring systems: PI-QUAL v2 (2024) for technical protocol optimisation, PI-RADS v2.1 for detecting clinically significant prostate cancer, PRECISE v2 (2024) for active surveillance, and PI-RR (2021) and PI-FAB for detecting recurrence and assessing post-treatment changes. In addition, explore the role of MRI in treatment planning.
• Recognise common pitfalls and interpretation errors in prostate MRI.
• Use MRI findings to support treatment planning for radical prostatectomy and focal therapy.
• Understand the evolving role of AI in the diagnosis of prostate carcinoma.
• Correlate imaging findings with clinical data and histopathology.
• Apply structured diagnostic reasoning to real DICOM cases.
• Produce radiology reports in accordance with international guidelines.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Each week includes four integrated components:
1. Interactive Webinar
Live case discussions using a DICOM viewer, with real-time interaction and expert guidance from Dr. Francesco Giganti. Each live webinar will be recorded and made available on the platform.
2. Asynchronous Case Interpretation
Independently analyse 10 or more real prostate MRI cases per week and receive structured feedback, including key findings, teaching points and histopathological correlation. The cases are selected and prepared by Dr. Violeta Catalá.
3. Theory Capsules
Short, pre-recorded theoretical sessions with a practical focus, delivered by Drs. Francesco Giganti and Violeta Catalá to reinforce core concepts and clinical application.
4. Forum
An ongoing discussion space moderated by Dr. Jonathan Hernández for questions, insights, and peer interaction.

Understand the fundamentals of the PI-RADS system and recognise common interpretation mistakes.
